Experimental Photography (2011)

This image was taken whilst I was traveling around
Greece over the summer, the definiton in this mans
face fascinated me.

This photograph was taken as a part of the rotation
weeks we had at AUCB. The theme I set myself
for this Piece was "Vulnerability" I was trying to achieve the
effect of the darkness consuming her body whilst she
desperately tries to cover herself.
This photograph was taken in the MOMA, New York. Here I was trying
to exsperiment with shutter speed, and how much light
I can let in.

Officer Down Commission For CD, Experimentation (February 2010)

Here I was trying to create this ghost like figure
in which the eyes are soulless and the gray
scale I used was very closed and dark.

This is an acrylic paint on canvas piece. With the use of colour
and imagery I was trying to achieve a grotesque take on the bands
name "Officer Down"

Officer Down Commission For CD, Book Work (January/Present 2010)

These two images are extracts from a project I am
currently working on, which is to create a CD cover for a band
called Officer Down.

These two prints are of an image of a girl wearing a pigs heart,
which I was experimenting with at the beginning of the project.
I wanted to have this beautiful girl posing but with this
heart still dripping blood down her chest, I did for I wanted
to create this contrast between her beauty and this animals organ.

These two prints are of a girl with a savagely butchered pigs head
in place of her own. Alot like the images above I was trying
to create this obvious contrast between her naked body
and this grotesque pigs head.

Three Day Box Project (September 2010)

At the beginning of my Foundation year at AUCB, we were given
a cardboard box and told to write our own brief,
and to produce a final piece within 3 days. I choice
to look at the security of the walls and then take them away
until the box collapsed.

These are just a few extracts from my learning journal that
I used for this project.

Life Drawing (September/October 2010)

These are a few selected images are from the
different life drawing sessions I have attended whilst at AUCB
The two female drawings was charcole and the male drawing
was simply chalk.

Digital Illustration (June 2010)

I produced these images for the Illustration pathway
week we had at AUCB. I choice to illustrate digitally on Photoshop.
What I did was layered up a blank format over a photograph
and then traced over. With the outline left I free handed in
the detail of the bones and the tearing skin.

Distortion Project Final Piece (May 2010)

This is the final piece I produced for my Distortion project.
I was trying to create this disturbing image by the use of colour
and the imagery. I wanted the viewer to feel trapped and frustrated
whilst looking into the eyes of this girl who is being consumed
by this mask.

I used acrylic paint on a board for this piece. I did so for I wanted the strong
textures that you can get by layering up the paint whilst still
having these strong vivid colours.

Distortion Project Page Samples (February/May 2010)

These are a few pages from the Distortion project
I completed. They consist of artist research,
site planning and experimentation's from the the artists
I studied.

These pages consist of research into Salvador Dahli's work,
and then my interpretation of his work.

Here is research on Karl Persson and how he uses colour
to distort his images, and also site planning for where
I would put my final piece.

Large Scale Oil Pastel (February 2010)

These pieces where an experimentation after looking at
Picasso's early work. I used cartridge paper and oil pastels.
I wanted to use nauseating colours as
apart of my colour theory work.

Life Drawings (November 2009)

These are a selection of life drawings I did
at the beginning of my BTEC National Diploma. Because I
attended this course at a local school, we had to draw eachother
and ourselves.
